How do they work?

Batt-Boxes are built from heavy-duty steel with a multi-layer, fire-resistant design rated for up to 60 minutes of protection (90-minute builds available on selected models). Each unit is finished with an aesthetically pleasing exterior, with optional skins or overlays to blend seamlessly into homes, workplaces, or public spaces.

In the rare case of a battery fire, the Batt-Box prevents escalation. An alarm will sound, lights will flash, and — on Wi-Fi models — instant notifications are sent directly to your phone and, if enabled, to emergency services or a chosen responder. While alerts are sent, the Batt-Box automatically works in the background to contain the event, remove flammable gases, and prevent explosive atmospheres. It maintains a fully managed, risk-free environment throughout the entire duration of a thermal runaway.

Step 1-Place & Charge

Store your scooter, bike, or battery pack inside the Batt-Box. Units are sized for their application — from a single scooter to large-scale energy storage. Built-in connections make charging safe and straightforward.


Step 3 – Automatic Containment

If an incident occurs, the Batt-Box responds instantly:

  • Fire-resistant construction keeps flames contained for up to 60 minutes (90-minute options available).

  • No explosive atmospheres — hazardous gases are automatically removed to prevent dangerous build-up.

  • Manual override ensures responders can take direct control when needed.

Step 2 – Seal & Activate

Once the door is closed, the Batt-Box automatically activates its monitoring and protection systems. From this point, it continuously checks for signs of heat, smoke, or fault conditions.


Step 4 – Instant Notifications

Different models provide different levels of alerting:

  • E-Scooter Basic – Containment only (no digital notifications).

  • E-Scooter Advanced / E-Bike / Home Energy Storage – Push notifications direct to the user and, if enabled, to emergency services or designated responders.

  • Mobility Multi / Bulk Energy Storage – Secure digital notifications only (no local flashing lights or alarms).

Indoor Units

  • E-Scooter Basic – Entry-level protection for single scooters. Fire containment and gas management.

  • E-Scooter Advanced – Adds connectivity and push notifications to the user and emergency services/responders.

  • E-Bike – Sized for larger batteries. Includes full monitoring, gas prevention, and smart alerts.

Home Energy Storage – Indoor protection for residential battery systems. Automatic alerts and complete elimination of explosive gas risk.

Step 5 – Safe Reset

Once conditions are stabilized, the Batt-Box remains locked down until it is inspected and manually reset, ensuring it is safe before being used again.
